I love being in the “International Rose Test Garden” at the earliest light. I am there for about 2 hours, taking pictures every few steps. But the shadows grow as I progress. Shadows are often a problem. Not that day.

The shadows are even more evident as I prepare to leave. I was right next to my car when I saw this gorgeous blossom, filled with texture, subtle colors, and shadow. It was like she had just flipped her hair out to catch every bit of light. She was ready for everything.
